Olympic 500: Where the Rainforest Meets the Sea

If you’ve ever stood in the middle of the Pacific Northwest rainforest — really stood there — you know the sound. It’s not silence, exactly. It’s the soft rhythm of rain on leaves, a low hum of life everywhere you turn. That’s the soundtrack of Olympic 500, tucked deep inside Olympic National Park, just 30 minutes from Port Angeles.

Here, under moss-draped trees and mountain mist, we’ve built something simple and special — a place to sleep close to the earth without giving up the comforts that make the experience unforgettable.

Phase I: Rainforest Roots

Set on 48 lush acres, Olympic 500 is home to 22 glamping units that bring in just over $109,000 in annual rentals — proof that people crave something real, something green, something grounding. Guests fall asleep to the sounds of the forest and wake to the kind of clean air you can taste.

With room to add 2 RVs and 12 A-frame cabins, the project is ready to grow — but never to overbuild. Because here, it’s about balance. Between comfort and wilderness. Between retreat and return.

Phase II: Learning to Build in the Rain

At Olympic 500, the next generation will learn what it really means to build with nature, not against it. Through hands-on training in sustainable design, Gen Z Fellows will work side by side with artists in residence and an award-winning architect to design structures that breathe with the forest — A-frames that blend into the canopy, gathering spaces that invite conversation and care.

It’s design as dialogue — listening to the land, and letting it lead.

Phase III: Returning the Land to the People Who Care for It Most

As with every 500 Acres project, the vision doesn’t end with profit — it circles back to purpose. Through a structured employee and community ownership program, those who live, work, and grow this project will have the chance to earn equity and shared ownership over time.

It’s our way of ensuring that as Olympic 500 flourishes, its roots stay in the hands of those who nurture it — turning investment into legacy, and land into community.

The Heart of the Forest, The Soul of 500 Acres

Olympic 500 is more than a glamping destination — it’s a living classroom, a sanctuary, and a test of what it means to truly belong to a place.

Because at 500 Acres, we believe the best luxury is connection — to nature, to people, to purpose.

Welcome to Olympic 500 — where the rainforest whispers, and we listen.
